ST. PETER’S CHURCH OF BEVERLY
GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Graduate and Undergraduate Scholarships available at St. Peter’s Church of Beverly are naturally limited in number and in amount. They are intended to serve as partial financial aid in the education of worthy students, to recognize their academic achievement, their service to the Church, and their financial need. Applications are accepted and scholarships are awarded for the fall semester and for the spring semester of the college year. An eligible student may apply for either or both semester in any one year.

The total amount of the scholarship funds available annually will approximate $1,000 ($500 in each two semesters). Decisions regarding the eligibility of and the amount to be awarded to each applicant will be made by the Scholarship Committee of St. Peter’s Church.

Requirements for Eligibility:

1. Undergraduate students: Completion of at least two semesters of college-level study. Graduate students: Completion of at least one semester of graduate study.
2. Undergraduate students: A minimum grade-point average of 2.5
Graduate students: A minimum grade-point average of 3.0.
3. Undergraduate and graduate students: Membership in the Episcopal Church and participation in the life of the church.

Instructions for Applicants:

1. Complete and sign the appropriate application form.
2. Submit an official transcript of your college or university academic record.
3. Obtain a statement from your Rector confirming your membership in the Episcopal Church.
4. Submit your own statement describing your life-long participation in the life of the Episcopal Church.
5. Provide the names and addresses of three potential character references, including your Rector and your present or former employer.

Deadlines for the receipt of applications and their supporting documents are (a) June 1 for consideration for a fall semester scholarship and (b) October 1 for consideration for a spring semester scholarship.
